Hello again. I hope that each and every one of you enjoyed your holidays and had a fun time with family and friends. So now that a new year begins it also means that the SAT exam is getting closer by the second. The SAT exam is the exam that basically determines if universities really want you for their schools or not. So I think is really good to stat getting prepared since this is a really hard and determining quiz. So this months blog I’ll be blogging about SAT words but no slang words for this blog since its not related to this blog. So lets begin I suppose:
Superfluous:
· Definition from Merriam Webster: exceeding what is sufficient or necessary, not needed
· My Definition: Unnecessary, or too much of one thing, extra
· How to use is in a sentence: I think that sign that Villa did when he scored that goal was superfluous
· In the sentence it is being said that when Villa scored the goal he did a sign that was very unnecessary or superfluous
· Another Example of Superfluous: If there is sugar in your tea, honey would be superfluous.
· In here it is being said that if you were to put sugar into a cup of coffee that has sugar, putting honey on it would be too much. That would be a really nasty cup of coffee
2. Dilatory:
· Definition from Merriam Webster: tending or intended to cause delay, characterized by procrastination
· My Definition: To always be late, or to be late for a tactical reason or just be late for no reason
· How to use in a sentence: Vincent is always dilatory to class, he is never on time
· What is being said in the sentence is that Vincent is never on time, he is always dilatory or late
· Another way to use dilatory: Jürgen Klinsmann made a change in the 90th minute, so he could waste time, he was being dilatory for a reason and this is why
· What is being said here is that Klinsmann was being dilatory for a tactical reason though so dilatory can also be used in a way to say somebody is wasting time
3. Adept
- Definition from Merriam Webster: a highly skilled or well-trained individual
- My Own Definition: To be really good at something, highly skilled
- How To Use in a Sentence: Wow Juninho is an adept in scoring free kicks
- In the sentence Juninho is very good at scoring free kicks or very adept
- Another example of using Adept: Wow Fernando an adept when it comes to spelling words
- In the sentence it is being said that Fernando is very good at spelling or adept
So this blog was without the most common thing: the cool words. But since I’ll only be doing this blog twice. Februaries blog will return back to normal and maybe all add more things since it has been requested lately. I would like to ask though if you guys like my idea of adding two examples instead one of each. Please comment me on this and also please give me some cool words you would like for me to put up on next months blog. Oh and also I would like some slang words too. Thanks a lot for reading my blog and finding it useful. I’ll write to you guys next time. Good Bye!!!!!!!
P.S; Please gimme recommendation please!!!!!!!!

This is what needs to be revised. The rest was useful. :)
Vincent,
Are you prepared for the SAT Exams? What do you think you can do to make the SAT Exams looks easier to you and maybe for other people? My pen pal, Moises Gallegos, gave me an advised and I think that I should share it with all of you. His advised was that work through problems on your own. They all start looking almost the same or you'll get a question that looks like two questions mixed together. If you work through problems you will eventually learn how to deal with different kinds of questions. Then, when you see them on the exam you'll know how to work through it. This was his advice to me and I have decided to give you the same advice.
Why did you decided to do your blog on those words?
Vincent
Do you honestly think these set of words are cool? I don't know, but maybe my definition of cool isn't proportionally equal to yours. I don't think these set of word are cool, but more or less educational. If you really want to make SAT words come out every month in your blog then go for it, but please don't give them the honorary title of cool. Cool is to be set aside from the uncool. I don't have anything against educational words and obviously nothing against anything that reinforces our learning. As a matter a fact, i support anything that will make me successful. I will never neglect the opportunity to triumph and if i do it is because i have lost my mind in some sort of addictive drug. In addition, all i am trying to say is that keep cool out of the uncool and keep the educational out of what disturbs our education. Thanks and peace out homeboy.
Hi Vincent,
I think you chose interesting terms. Honestly, 'Dilatory' is going to be useful for future references.
I think that you should pick words that we, as teens, come into contact everyday. For example, 'Adept' wouldn't be a term that i would use daily.
As for recommendations, how about using some terms that may confuse people. Like for me, it would be 'Aesthetics' and 'Esoteric'. I don't know, words that may look the same and people may mix around. And try to include some tips on memorizing them.
Other than that, good job!
I disagree with leo. Every word in the common language is cool.
Just because a word is educational doesn't mean it's "not cool."
Words are interesting because you never know how someone came up with the words.
Yeah, sometimes it looks like a mixture of two words and some just look plainly derived from one's peculiar imagination.
The way the words were brought up are of importance and as well interesting. So try to find the origin of the word, because it really does make a whole lot of difference. Plus, it makes your blog more interesting.
Dear Vincent,
The SAT's are getting close and it is really hard to deal with because everyone I believe wants to do good. The words you choose for this month's blog are helpful because it teaches me what they mean and they can probaly be in the SAT's or any other exams like the AP Exam. I need to start getting more prepared for this exam if I want to do really good. I feel that I have more trouble with the vocab words that I don't know and that is what messes me up in the reading sections. Why didn't you write about other words or choose other words rather than those specific three even though they are helpful because I didn't know what they meant?
okay, the first two I had no clue about. So much, that I wrote them down in my vocabulary list.
Well, how about you start writing about the origin of words. For example, in "Ku Klux Klan", the word 'klux' originally comes from a Greek word meaning circle.
Look more at the origins. The more far out and crazy they are, the better!
Dear Vincent,
I liked how u broke down through the definition from the website, then your own summary or understandment. Then using a sentence to explain or have the basic idea of it, breaking down your own example in case any one gets lost. I really liked your examples and comparisons it makes it simpler more understandable. I would like to comment you on how you have a way with analyzing words and breaking them down into something simple and more understandable. The comparison that was supposed to get prepared for this quiz for me is more like a huge test finals. I would also like to tell you to check your grammar you have a lot of missing periods at the end of each sentence. I liked how you were able to use the word in two different ways, which causes more options on usage for these words. To answer your question about linking the two examples rather than just one is my opinion it gives you audience (us) a variety of points of view, in case they don’t understand with one example, the second one might just do it.
Sup Chente,
You did a good job at putting more stuff at your blog. I think that these words are actually helpful for us even though some of us dont like to have SAT words to consider as cool words. Well i think that it is alright to consider these hard words to be considered cool words. Many words can be considered cool even though they are hard it is just a matter of learning them.
