The Real 1st Post Of AP "Season"

Well, hi everyone its been such a long time since my last post and im back. First of all thanks for all recommendations and now I will not only be talking about normal words but as well slang too since this was requested so ill be doing two "normal words" and one slang word per post. Finally I decided to add something of my own which would be a definition from Dictionary. com , so now you bloggers can now know two definitions coming from two different sources, one being from a trustworthy word definer and my definition which I create from different definitions I have heard and basically creating my own definition.

  1. Caricature
  • Definition from Dictionary.com =a representation of a person that is exaggerated for comic effect
  • My Definition= A drawing of something or somebody in a comical/funny way to entertain and/or to make fun of and/or exaggerate
  • How to use it in a conversation= Hey Lucas did you see the caricature that the LA Times did on Obama and McCain, they made them look like dogs barking at each other.
  • So as you see here caricature is basically making fun of something or somebody making them look not only funny but exaggerated because as i showed here the LA Times made them look like dogs barking at each other which resembles them arguing.
2. Explicit
  • Definition from Dictionary. com = Fully and clearly defined or formulated: "generalizations that are powerful, precise, and explicit" (Frederick Turner).
  • My own definition = Something that is clearly and fully explained and that is  really understandable,
  • How to use it in a sentence = Steven can you please tell me Onomatopoeia more explicitly please
  • So basically explicit means to explain clearly and fully in which i show in the example above that they want to know what onomatopoeia means clearly and fully explained.
3. Sicc
  • Definition From Urban Dictionary . Com = meaning really awesome to the most hardcore extreme people. when something is very cool/good/"off the hook"
  • My Own Definition = A slang term used to say when something is really awesome or very cool or nice.
  •  How To Use it In A "friend to friend" conversation= Hey Genaro did you see that trick that Ronaldhino did on Cristiano Ronaldo that was really sicc
  • So as you can see here sicc basically means awesome in a extreme way. As you see in the example Genaro is being asked if he saw the sicc trick that Ronaldhino did on Cristiano which was sicc
So yeah heres three words that can help you out on looking good on a normal scholarly conversation or slang that can make you look cool with your friends. So hopefully you guys give me more word recommendations and I hope you guys enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoyed writing it. Looking forward to your responses  Good Bye
*********  Side-note=  Im really sorry for the other recommendations that were given to me and I forgot to put them in my post. I promise to put them on my next one. thanks and I hope you guys understand

Hello Chente,

It seems that the three words that you chose were very clever and perfect with the theme you chose. The theme that you chose was cool words and from what I understand from your blog is that cool words bring taste to any conversation.

I think that you overall did a great job giving cool words for this month.

Chente!!

Your blog is very sicc!!
I think I can be cool now =]
I like how you explained the words but you might want to get slang words or like how we were talking to MS. Vernon words that have lost their meaning i.e gay.
Your blog was very good but you might want to do more then give definitions and gicce examples =]

Vincent,
That was a splendid job. All the words were, cool. Although maybe you should add more than three at a time, give us more of those cool words. Good job so far, keep it up

I have to agree with what joel has said. Good words and good explanations. I liked how you formated everything by first giving definitions and then in the end of the blog giving an explanation of how to use these words.

Well, Ms. Tran has said that showing not telling makes writing more powerful and I have to agree with her.

Mucho Bueno? lol.

ooh, maybe that should be something for your next blog: spanish/english words. What I mean is that look at words that sound so much like the spanish translation of it. Spanish and English have the same Latin roots, along with many other Europens languages. Maybe you could find words that have universal meanings, or something like that.

Dear Vincent,
It seem that you state that cool words can be words that we may or may not know and that is cool. We can learn new words and make them cool by starting to use them more and more often. Slang words are cool to because they are creative and do mean something. I can't wait to see and read about other cool words that you find out about.

Dear Chente,
I have read your blog and i think you did a very good job in it. I liked the way you used your own definition and you included a sentence so that the reader would have a better idea about the word.

I also read some of the comments and i agree that maybe you could put more than 3 words so that we could learn more words in one month but over all i think your blog is so sicc that ill give it an A hahaha anyways good job

Dear Vincent,

Like the comparison I like how you break it down. Also giving examples and you guide your audience. Your work is simple, clear and it gets to the point. I know you don't have long words, but my suggestion when it comes to long words, you should put how to pronunciat so your audience would use the word correctly. Also you should keep using the slang, because us teens would relate to these words more. My compliment is that I understood your definitions’ better than Dictionary.com.

Sincerely,
Masyeli M.

Hello Chente,

Dude major kudos on "Sicc". (ENFERMO!) Well anyways, i believe your blog was very informal. You did a good job at picking words that relate to you. The defintions were very lucid (am i using it right?).

You did an awesome job.

Vincent,
Thank you for your comment and refering back to that no im not a Christian Iam as well a Catholic.

GREAT BLOG!
In my opinion its great that you actually took time to take suggestions from your last blog and incorperate to your new blog. I actually agree that this will help you create a more sufficient blog. I would like for you to use more slang words in your blog because now a days most individuals use slang words than the correct vocabulary. I also agree with Joel that words are the "taste to any conversation."
GOOD LUCK!

I agree with leo on the word choises. They two words on top really conveyed your attempt in knowing the word. You should try to get the origin of the word and try to look up how the word was brought up. I;m always fasinicated by how words suddenly appear out of think air and sound so sophisticated. Those that created language are true geniusis and if you can capture their moment of genius, as in knowing how they got the word, that would really be entertaining and impressive.

Vincent,
I got to say man, this has to be my favorite blog. It's real cool how you used both your's and the website's definition of the words and how you gave examples on the words. I specially liked how you took my recommendation into consideration because it shows that you do read people's comments to your blog. Great job man!

I must say that after reading your blog these words sound pretty awesome. For instance, the word explicit i find to be a very amusing word because i have seen this word to come out in games that have gore like Resident Evil Zero. The word sicc you chose for your slang word is unusual because i thought that word was spelled with a k in the end. However, even though this is a word that is used many times. They are clever and you did choose a good set of words, but what would probably be cool would be to have a word that sounds cool, spelled cool and has a cool definition. Therefore, this is my request and i know it will be challenging to find these jinds of words, but you must not give up.
